We Support children with Special Needs

At Wake Harvest, we believe EVERY child is special. In some cases, a special child might require more specialized support. We can help.
At Wake Harvest, we provide one-on-one support and two-to-one support for children with special needs. We are thrilled to share we have had non-verbal children begin speaking after working one-on-one with our specialists.
Your child may benefit from working with a support specialist if they:
- have special needs that require assistance
- struggle with behavioral challenges
- lack impulse control
- have a hard time keeping their hands to themselves
- live with learning disabilities
- are non-verbal
- or have other challenges
1:1 Support Specialists
A one-on-one support specialist is a camp counselor assigned to work one-on-one with a child.
This specialist will fully support their student, redirect behaviors as needed, encourage social interaction, facilitate activities and games, and more.
Should you select this service, please note, this does not mean your child would be separated from other children. This simply means while interacting with fellow campers, they will have a counselor on hand to assist with whatever they may need.
The cost for this service is $22/hr.
2:1 Support Specialists
A two-to-one support specialist is a camp counselor assigned to work with two children.
This specialist will fully support their students, redirect behaviors as needed, encourage social interaction, facilitate activities and games, and more.
Should you select this service, please note, this does not mean your child would be separated from other children. This simply means while interacting with fellow campers, they will have a counselor on hand to assist with whatever they may need.
The cost for this service is $14/hr.
