At Wake Harvest, we believe that every child is unique and special. Some children may require additional support to thrive, and we are here to help.
We proudly offer one-on-one and two-to-one support for children with special needs. We’ve witnessed incredible breakthroughs, including non-verbal children finding their voices after working closely with our dedicated specialists.
Your child may benefit from partnering with a support specialist if they:
- Have special needs requiring extra assistance
- Face behavioral challenges
- Struggle with impulse control
- Find it difficult to keep their hands to themselves
- Live with learning disabilities
- Are non-verbal
- Experience other unique challenges
Our goal is to create an inclusive, supportive, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and empowered to reach their potential.
1:1 Support Specialists
A one-on-one support specialist is a dedicated camp counselor assigned to work individually with your child to ensure they have a positive and enriching experience.
This specialist will:
- Fully support your child throughout the day
- Redirect behaviors when needed
- Encourage social interaction
- Facilitate participation in activities and games
- Provide personalized assistance tailored to your child's needs
Selecting this service does not mean your child will be separated from other campers. Instead, they will actively engage with their peers while having a counselor available to offer immediate support whenever needed.
Cost: $22/hour + Field Trip Costs
2:1 Support Specialists
A two-to-one support specialist is a dedicated camp counselor assigned to work with two children, providing tailored support to ensure both campers have a positive and engaging experience.
This specialist will:
- Fully support both children throughout the day
- Redirect behaviors when needed
- Encourage social interaction
- Facilitate participation in activities and games
- Offer personalized assistance based on their needs
Selecting this service does not mean your child will be separated from other campers. Instead, they will actively participate in group activities with peers, while having a counselor available to provide support as needed.
Cost: $15/hour + Field Trip Costs
