Our programs are specifically designed to focus on the health and wellbeing of the whole child. Emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. We teach students key life skills to become healthy, contributing members of society; prepared for adulthood. We are a secular school based on Christian principles.
Wake Harvest curriculum offers a well-rounded education. In addition to ELA, Math, Social Studies and Science, we specialize in experiential learning, promoting mental health, social and emotional skills, entrepreneurship and career readiness.
Wake Harvest Academy is recreating the learning experience to meet the needs of the next generation. Experiential learning is the process of learning through experience and offers a hands-on, active approach for all students.
Is your child easily distracted? Experiential learning is the key to success. We take pride in providing experiences that engage our student's energetic character.
Millions of people have begun their adult life with student loan debt. According to finder.com, 41.10% of men and 39.92% of women do not use their college degree. We want to avoid this inconvenience for the next generation. Wake Harvest Academy students receive insight on different professions through our apprenticeship and mentorship programs. This gives students the ability to see if they enjoy a profession as much as they believe they will, through firsthand experience. This is also a great tool for children who don’t know what they want to be when they grow up.
Wake Harvest Academy has a homework period for children to complete their assignments. We'd like student homework to be weekend activities students can do with their families. This helps to promote family togetherness.
School lunches have been an important topic of discussion between parents and students. WHA will have a nutritional chef managing the menu and kitchen team. Lunches will be freshly prepared daily.
Saturday Brunch: Parent refreshers – Updates on what your child will be working on that month. Share tools, feedback, etc.
Saturday Tutoring: For students to get extra assistance in areas they find challenging or would like extra help.
Saturday Workshops: These will differ monthly (or bi-monthly). Financial literacy, career readiness, service learning, youth mentorship events, etc.
